Mixed Messages from USGOV

The food stamp program is part of the US Department of Agriculture.  It's distributing more food stamps now than ever before. 

The National Park Service is a component of the US Department of the Interior and it asks us to "Please do not feed the animals" because the animals may grow dependent and not learn to take care of themselves.

I think that they need to get together and decide on a unifying message. You clearly can't have it both ways.

Obama 2016

It's 2012.

His work isn't done, his vision is not complete, and he's not running on what he hasn't been able to accomplish in the past four years. He's running on what he can do for us if only given four more years to do it.

The concept of Obama 2016 incorporates projections on the past to the future - He was able to rack up $5 trillion in debt in four years with nothing to show for it and an unassailable Democratic Party majority in Congress for the first two years. 

More stimulus (money doled out to Obama supporters) over the next four years will make some people very rich and all he needs is YOUR VOTE to make this dream a reality.

Defining the Obama Philosophy

It's difficult to define the Obama philosophy more closely to the mark than this:

Biden-Obama 2012

Yes, poor old Joe (Slow Joe) Biden is a joke. But the most resounding endorsement of his choice as a running mate for Obama yet one more time, came from Osama bin Laden as reported in USA Today.

"In newly declassified documents recovered from Osama bin Laden's compound in Pakistan, the al-Qaeda leader calls for his followers to prepare plots to kill President Obama and Gen. David Petraeus, writing that Vice President Biden was "totally unprepared" to take over as president."

I've always thought that Obama kept Biden around as a safeguard against assassination - but it would seem that Osama wanted to kill Obama to leave Biden (the greater fool) in charge. I wonder if Obama will reconsider his decision to have Biden as his running mate in 2012.

Intentionally having Biden as your 'wingman' is to invite trouble...

However, Biden fired back at the Osama accusations that he's incompetent today as reported on Fox News:

Vice President Joe Biden says he hopes Usama bin Laden was wrong in his assessment that Biden would not be able to lead the nation if the president was killed.

Biden says bin Laden was wrong about lots of things.

However, most Americans feel that Biden was wrong more often than Osama was...

The Obama Legacy

It's difficult to say with absolute certainty whether or not President Obama will be reelected to a second term. The unprecedented debt that he's pushed, the lack of a Congressional Budget, that he oversees - for the last two years - and a pack of failures from ObamaCare to the so-called 'stimulus packages' and Operation Fast and Furious, his backdoor effort to impose gun control on the American people that blew up in his face.

The legacy will be written years from now and while it's impossible to see how the lens of time will treat his time in office, I suspect that he'll end up on the list with Jimmy Carter, as a man clearly out of his depth. He was celebrated into office with a Nobel Peace Prize for doing nothing other than having a black father. And things went down from there.
