At the close of the Constitutional Convention in 1787, Dr. James McHenry, a Maryland delegate, followed Benjamin Franklin from Independence Hall. He recorded a question asked by a lady, directed at Dr. Franklin.

The lady asked, "Well Doctor, what have we got? A republic or a monarchy?"

"A republic," replied Dr. Franklin, "if you can keep it."

Is the FBI in Benghazi?

The short answer is that no, the FBI isn't there.

Two senior U.S. officials said the Obama administration internally labeled the attack on the US Consulate in Benghazi as "terrorism" from the first day in order to unlock and mobilize certain resources to respond, and that officials were looking for one specific suspect.

However that didn't play well with the Obama bid to retain the presidency, so he sent his minions out to lie to the American people because...It is not a matter of what is true that counts, but a matter of what is perceived to be true.

MSNBC will not delve on this because they have a vested corporate interest in an Obama victory in November. The administration has been dishonest with the American people (again) and the credentialed media (except for Fox News) is not calling on them on it. That is because...It is not a matter of what is true that counts, but a matter of what is perceived to be true.

US Ambassador Stevens, sodomized and then murdered.
A few Republican lawmakers have gone so far as to suggest the administration withheld key facts about the assault for political reasons but the Democrats don't care because...It is not a matter of what is true that counts, but a matter of what is perceived to be true.

Curiously, Obama referred to "acts of terror" in his first public remarks about the attack. But from there, administration officials went on to blame the anti-Islam film. Ambassador Rice was the most explicit in that explanation, insisting on a slew of Sunday shows that the attack was not pre-planned and was tied to the film because...It is not a matter of what is true that counts, but a matter of what is perceived to be true.

There is no compelling need to send the FBI because it wasn't a criminal attack with an unknown suspect. The suspects were known from the time that the terrorist attack took place. Thus the FBI isn't there because nobody wants to have them report that it was a terror attack and reveal the lie that the Obama Administration wants to foist on the American people.

What is that lie?

Obama wants to win what promises to be a close election. To do that he feels as if he must come off as a foreign policy wizard where the Islamic World and the Middle East is concerned. He's trying to make an omelet and isn't concerned about breaking a few eggs to do so. He knows that the mainstream media will support him  because he's their guy and... It is not a matter of what is true that counts, but a matter of what is perceived to be true. And that's the media's stock in trade.

Curious. I didn't catch that initially, but in light of it, it would certainly seem as if Axelgrease bitch-slapped his ... ummm ... "client."

The FBI has a 'fly team' designed exactly for this. Those who sign-up probably have a clue that when responding around the world to a terrorist act - there will be danger. The FBI has the under-used Hostage Rescue Team, full of overseas experience, and lots of nice toys. The FBI has an approximately 1200 man SWAT team for an inner perimeter, and there are plenty of Marines in the area to carpool with, who can render the larger scene safe (or draw out those who killed our Ambassador)...

The bags are no-doubt packed and the gear is probably staged...but the call won't come.

There was no doubt, from day 1, that this was an act of terror, in an islamic terrorist hotbed. The mere fact it occurred on 9/11 told Americans (other than this Administration and those who follow them) that this was terror. Unlike the Administration, Americans remember 9/11 in the manner in which it should. This Administration and those who follow them want desperately for us to have their 9/10 mindset.

The lies came and came and came but the one that pissed me off the most was when the press (and I use that term with contempt) tried to tell us that the Ambassador was rushed to the hospital by Libyans in order to try and save him. Then we see the photo's of his body being carried upside down, dead in much the same way that our marines were paraded in the streets of Haditha, Iraq.

Despicable, dangerous and in need of throwing out much as garbage is.
