At the close of the Constitutional Convention in 1787, Dr. James McHenry, a Maryland delegate, followed Benjamin Franklin from Independence Hall. He recorded a question asked by a lady, directed at Dr. Franklin.

The lady asked, "Well Doctor, what have we got? A republic or a monarchy?"

"A republic," replied Dr. Franklin, "if you can keep it."

How Far Will Things Go?

I have been trying to determine the philosophical limit to which the Obama crowd is willing to push their utopian national socialist agenda.

Frederick Douglass, one of the most prominent black Americans in history, and for some time, a slave, weighed in on the issue with profound insight:
"Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did, and it never will. Find out just what people will submit to, and you have found out the exact amount of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them; and these will continue till they have resisted with either words or blows, or with both. The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they suppress."

There you have it. How much will we endure?

Dr Joseph Goebbels offered his opinion on the requirement of the government to suppress dissent through control of the media:
"The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth becomes the greatest enemy of the State."

As the Third Reich's propaganda minister, Dr. Goebbels was no stranger to the need for the government to lie. And one of the most effective ways to promote your lie is to declare that all who tell the truth are liars. There is a move for the White House to create (in effect) it's own news network to do this very thing. The attack on  FOX NEWS (click here) seems to be the beginning of the muscling to shut them down.

Since truth is the mortal enemy of the State, how long will we believe the lies?

My definition of political correctness is: A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical socialist minority,  rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream and other non-enquiring media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end. The whole notion of political correct language has spawned a generation of cowards who are mortally afraid of saying anything for fear that what they will say will offend someone in some way. The White House is currently running with this ball, suggesting that any language that anyone finds offensive smacks of "hate", therefore the speaker is committing a "hate crime". And the Constitutional right to free speech goes right out the window.

Will we accept limits to the Freedom of Speech?

Is the term "Patriot" a dirty word? In the lexicon of the present usage, it might become very similar to the term "Domestic Terrorist" as defined by Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano. (Returning veterans, Tea Party Activists, pro-life advocates, those who oppose illegal immigration, etc.)

Are we Patriots? Or are we afraid to be known by that name/title?

Reposted for your consideration:

The Dismantling Of America, Piece By Piece

Just one year ago, would you have believed that an unelected government official, not even a Cabinet member confirmed by the Senate but simply one of the many "czars" appointed by the president, could arbitrarily cut the pay of executives in private businesses by 50% or 90%?
Did you think that another "czar" would be talking about restricting talk radio? That there would be plans afloat to subsidize newspapers — that is, to create a situation where some newspapers' survival would depend on the government liking what they publish?
Did you imagine that anyone would even be talking about having a panel of so-called "experts" deciding who could and could not get lifesaving medical treatments?
Scary as that is from a medical standpoint, it is also chilling from the standpoint of freedom. If you have a mother who needs a heart operation or a child with some dire medical condition, how free would you feel to speak out against an administration that has the power to make life-and-death decisions about your loved ones?
Does any of this sound like America?
How about a federal agency giving schoolchildren material to enlist them on the side of the president? Merely being assigned to sing his praises in class is apparently not enough.
How much of America would be left if the federal government continued on this path? President Obama has already floated the idea of a national police force, something we have done without for more than two centuries.
We already have local police forces all across the country and military forces for national defense, as well as the FBI for federal crimes and the National Guard for local emergencies. What would be the role of a national police force created by Barack Obama, with all its leaders appointed by him? It would seem more like the brownshirts of dictators than like anything American.
How far the president will go depends of course on how much resistance he meets. But the direction in which he is trying to go tells us more than all his rhetoric or media spin.
Barack Obama has not only said that he is out to "change the United States of America"; the people he has been associated with for years have expressed in words and deeds their hostility to the values, the principles and the people of this country.
Jeremiah Wright said it with words: "God damn America!"

Scarborough and Smiley Agree: White House Attacks Driving People to Fox News

By Noel Sheppard (Bio | Archive)

Here's something you don't see every day: former Republican Congressman turned MSNBC personality Joe Scarborough and perilously liberal PBS host Tavis Smiley agreeing on something.

Maybe even more shocking, this odd couple was also in lock-step with former Bush administration member and current Fox News contributor Dan Senor as well the New Yorker's Jane Mayer.

Appearing together on NBC's "Meet the Press" Sunday, the unlikely quartet not only felt the Obama administration is making a mistake going after the Fox News Channel, but also that it is tremendously benefiting the cable network.

Scarborough went so far to say that as a result of this strategy, "America's waking up in the morning, click, they turn on Fox News" More here.

Shades of the New American Government

The Barack Hussein Obama Administration entered office with high-sounding platitudes, but they were only a vernier to cover the thuggish Chicago machine politicians that they proved themselves to be. The leopard did not change its spots. Charles Krauthammer said of the Administration's attack on Fox News, "Rahm Emanuel once sent a dead fish to a live pollster. Now he's put a horse's head in Roger Ailes' bed. Not very subtle. And not very smart. Ailes doesn't scare easily." (IBD)
The White House has declared war on Fox News. White House communications director Anita Dunn said that Fox is "opinion journalism masquerading as news."
Patting rival networks on the head for their authenticity (read: docility), senior adviser David Axelrod declared Fox "not really a news station." And chief of staff Emanuel told (warned) the other networks not to "be led (by) and following Fox." (Krauthammer)

Is this Soviet Russia or the United States of America?

Meaning? If Fox runs a story critical of the administration — from exposing White House czar Van Jones as a loony 9/11 "truther" to exhaustively examining the mathematical chicanery and hidden loopholes in proposed health care legislation — the other news organizations should think twice before following the lead.

The signal to corporations is equally clear: You might have dealings with a federal behemoth that not only disburses more than $3 trillion every year but is extending its reach ever deeper into private industry — finance, autos, soon health care and energy. Think twice before you run an ad on Fox. (Krauthammer)

Under Article 1, Section 2 of the US Constitution, direct federal taxes on targeted individuals is unlawful. It says that "direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several states .. . according to their numbers ... ." That's why its enactment required a constitutional amendment — the 16th. However, the Democratic Legislature plans to make healthcare an issue of taxation. This week, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said, "It's constitutional to mandate insurance coverage. Congress has 'broad authority' to (make us buy things to) provide for the 'general welfare'."

The general welfare, under the Democratic Party's definition means that all Americans will be 'on welfare'/or public assistance by way of mandated healthcare. Don't want health care? Too bad. Pay or go to jail. I'm not making this up. This is precisely what the legislation says.

At his weekly press briefing Tuesday, Hoyer was asked, as we have asked, just where in the Constitution was Congress granted the power to force people to buy health insurance or force those who refuse to pay a penalty (or by its true description, a tax.)

Hoyer pointed to Article 1, Section 8, which gives the Congress the power to raise taxes in order to "provide for common Defence and general Welfare of the United States." Does that give Congress the authority to buy things like health insurance? Rep Steny Hoyer (D-MD) says, "Yes!"

Broccoli is good for our general welfare, but can Congress make us buy it and eat it and charge us if we don't? Losing a few pounds would help us all and reduce health care costs, but can Congress mandate health club memberships? MARYLAND, your elected representative, Steny Hoyer thinks so.

"Well, in promoting the general welfare the Constitution obviously gives broad authority to Congress, broad authority to effect that end," Hoyer said. "The end we're trying to effect is to make health care affordable, so I think clearly this is within our constitutional responsibility." Really?

"The Congressional Budget Office concluded in 1994, "The government has never required people to buy any good or service as a condition of lawful residence in the United States."

Nor can it, according to constitutional lawyer David B. Rivkin. "Congressman Hoyer is wrong," he said. "The notion that the general welfare language is a basis for a specific legislative exercise is all silly because if that's true, because general welfare language is inherently limitless, then the federal government can do anything."

Politics and Narcissism

There are all sorts of personalities who are drawn to the political arena. Most are harmless yes-men, parasites who hope to gain fortune on the coat-tails of others. Some are "true believers" who have a cause that impels them toward politics. A third category includes those who simply want to "watch the world burn." The third category are the most dangerous: those with deeply seated racial hatred such as the Reverend Jessie Jackson and possibly even our current president. They hate others because they despise themselves and project their own corruption and vile nature onto everyone else.

Traditionally both ends of the spectrum have wanted to "watch the world burn" - anarchists and totalitarian revolutionary movements spawn these people and many of us simply rock back on our heels, wondering which rock they crawled out from under.

Most of those people - those who would see all torn down are those scorned narcissists who see themselves as the answer to literally everything. They are the Pol Pots, the Muammar Gaddafis, the Benito Mussolinis, the Hugo Chavezs, the petty dictators on the stage and the men behind them like Gy├Ârgy Schwartz (known today as George Soros). Mr. Soros is an interesting case study because he certainly has the drive to succeed. He is often cited as the man behind President Barack Hussein Obama. He went literally from rags to his current net worth of about $11 billion.

Citing an article by Jim O'Neill, "Soros:  Republic Enemy #1" (Sept. 2009) --
In 1944 Hitler’s henchman Adolf Eichmann arrived in Hungary, to oversee the murder of that country’s Jews. The Soros children were all given fake identity papers, and were shipped out to various Christian families. George Soros ended up with a man whose job was confiscating property from the Jewish population. Soros went with him on his rounds.
Soros has repeatedly called 1944 “the best year of his life.”
In an article in the Wall Street Journal, Joshua Muravchik notes that, “70% of Mr. Soros’s fellow Jews in Hungary, nearly a half-million human beings, were annihilated in that year. They were dying and disappearing all around him, and their numbers no doubt included many whom he knew personally. Yet he gives no sign that this put any damper on his elation, either at the time or indeed in retrospect.”
During an interview with “Sixty Minute’s” Steve Kroft, Soros was asked about his “best year:”
KROFT: My understanding is that you went out with this protector of yours who swore that you were his adopted godson.
SOROS: Yes. Yes.
KROFT: Went out, in fact, and helped in the confiscation of property from the Jews.
SOROS: Yes. That’s right. Yes.
KROFT: I mean, that sounds like an experience that would send lots of people to the psychiatric couch for many, many years. Was it difficult?
SOROS: Not, not at all. Not at all.
KROFT: No feeling of guilt?
Of course he didn’t feel guilty. Soros has the moral depth of a clam. Nonetheless, he has said, “my goal is to become the conscience of the world.”  ...Soros has admitted to having “carried some rather potent messianic fantasies with me from childhood, which I felt I had to control, otherwise they might get me in trouble.”
From the article, Soros seems to be driven by the same internal mechanism that drives the current president of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama (also known as Barry Soetoro).

In our efforts to keep the republic intact, those who would "watch it burn" if it didn't go their way are the most significant threats to freedom. Dr. Sandy Hotchkiss, MD and Dr. James F. Masterson (citation below) lists the seven deadly sins of the narcissist.

Shamelessness - Shame is the feeling that lurks beneath all unhealthy narcissism, and the inability to process shame in healthy ways.

Magical Thinking - Narcissists see themselves as perfect using distortion and illusion known as magical thinking. They also use projection to shame dump onto others.

Arrogance - If a narcissist is feeling deflated, he can reinflate himself by diminishing, debasing or degrading somebody else.

Envy - If the narcissist's need to secure a sense of superiority meets and obstacle because of somebody else, he neutralises it using contempt to minimise the other person's ability.

Entitlement - Narcissists hold unreasonable expectations of particularly favorable treatment and automatic compliance because they consider themselves uniquely special. Any failure to comply will be considered an attack on their superiority. Defiance of their will is a narcissistic injury that can trigger narcissistic rage.

Exploitation - can take many forms but always involves the using of others without regards for their feelings or interests. Often the other is in a subservient position where resistance would be difficult or even impossible. Sometimes the subservience is not so much real as assumed.

Bad Boundaries - narcissists do not recognize that they have boundaries and that others are separate and are not extensions of themselves. Others either exist to meet their needs or may as well not exist at all. Those who provide narcissistic supply to the narcissist will be treated as if they are part of the narcissist and be expected to live up to those expectations. In the mind of a narcissist, there is no boundary between self and other.

(Hotchkiss, Sandy & Masterson, James F. Why Is It Always About You? : The Seven Deadly Sins of Narcissism - 2003)

The seven criteria one sees in the pathological narcissist are often seen in politicians. As Dr. James Masterson put it, "The exhibitionist narcissist would be described as having an inflated, grandiose self perception with little or no conscious awareness of the emptiness within. Such a person would assume that this condition was normal and that others were just like them. The exhibitionist narcissist seeks perfect admiration all the time from others." Apply that as you will to politicians large and small and draw your own conclusions.

In Praise of Barack Hussein Obama

There are detractors who say our current President, Barack Hussein Obama hasn't done anything. I beg to differ. Here is a short list but there may be more. Feel free to add to the list if you are moved to do so. (h/t WoFat)

I think this is why he received the Nobel Peace Prize-

1.  Offended the Queen of England.

2.  Bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia .

3.  Praised the Marxist Nicaraguan dictator Daniel Ortega.
4.  Kissed Socialist dictator of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez on the cheek.

5.  Endorsed the Socialist Evo Morales of Bolivia.

6.  Sided with Hugo Chavez and Communist Fidel Castro against the now former US ally, Honduras.

7.  Announced we would meet with Iranians with no pre-conditions while they're building their nuclear weapons.

8.  Gave away billions to AIG also without pre-conditions.

9.  Expanded the bailouts.

10.  Insulted everyone who has ever loved a Special Olympian.

11.  Doubled our national debt. Ok, on the way to tripling it, and that's quite something considering how far we were in debt when he took over.

12.  Announced the termination of our new missile defense system the day after North Korea launched an ICBM -- on Polish Independence Day, angering our Eastern European allies.

13.  Released information on U.S. Intelligence gathering despite urgings of his own CIA director and the prior four CIA directors that he not.

14.  Accepted without comment that five of his cabinet members cheated on their taxes and two other nominees withdrew after they couldn't take the heat.

15. Appointed a Homeland Security Chief who identified military veterans and abortion opponents as "dangers to the nation."

16.  Ordered that the word "terrorism" no longer be used and instead refers to such acts as "man made disasters." Changed the "war on terrorism" to a "foreign contingency operation".

17.  Circled the globe (twice) to publicly apologize for America 's world leadership.

18.  Told the Mexican president that the violence in their country was all our fault.

19.  Politicized the census by moving it into the White House from the Department of Commerce hired and then fired ACORN - a racketeer influenced and corrupt organization where he served as legal counsel and chief political advisor previously.

20.  Appointed as Attorney General the man who orchestrated the forced removal and expulsion to Cuba of a 9-year-old whose mother died trying to bring him to freedom in the United States.

21.  Salutes as heroes three Navy SEALS who took down three terrorists who threatened one American life and the next day announces members of the Bush administration may stand trial for "torturing" three 9/11 terrorists by pouring water up their noses.

22.  Low altitude photo shoot of Air Force One over New York City that frightened thousands of New Yorkers.

23.  Sent his National Defense Advisor to Europe to assure them that the US will no longer treat Israel in a special manner and they might be on their own surrounded by radical Islam.

24.  Praised Jimmy Carter's trip to Gaza where he sided with terrorist Hamas against Israel. Facilitated payments to Hamas. (I don't know what the payments to the terrorists were for, but they continue to shout "Death to America."

25.  Nationalized General Motors and Chrysler while turning shareholder control over to the unions and freezing out retired investors who owned their bonds.  Committed unlimited taxpayer billions in the process.

26.  Passed a huge energy tax in the House that will make American industry even less competitive while costing homeowners thousands per year.

27.  Announced nationalized health care "reform" that will strip seniors of their Medicare, cut pay of physicians, increase taxes yet another $1 trillion, and put everyone on rationed care with government bureaucrats deciding who gets care and who doesn't.
Sen. Daschle says, "Health care reform will not be pain free.    Seniors should be more accepting of the conditions that come with age    instead of treating them," while former Colorado Governor Dick Lamm    says seniors have "a duty to die." (Bloomberg)
That's quite a list for a few months in office. And those darned conservatives say Obama hasn't done anything.

Is Senator Harry Reid Down for the Count?

In the world of Congressional back slapping and back scratching, you don't hear many Republicans openly criticize Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. The vindictive, dour, puerile Senator from Nevada is anything but a gentleman and is known in his home town as a "crook". In Las Vegas, you can be a crook and still be loved. You can be a crook and still be elected.

However, you need to remember the best interests of your constituents. I think somewhere along the line, Sen. Reid forgot that last part.

Do I personally count Harry out? No - he's a slick politician and since his days as Senate Majority leader he has become a very wealthy politician.

Harry is currently trailing both of his opposition candidates for his re-election bid in 2010. However, the now infamous Service Employees International Union (SEIU) has a very strong presence in the Nevada gaming and hospitality business. Harry may be able to call on the "Union Thugs" to bully voters at polling places. One Las Vegas politician I spoke to on the telephone yesterday called SEIU - "Harry's Black Panthers", indicating they will have the same teflon-style immunity from prosecution for harassing voters in 2010 that President Barack Hussein Obama's Black Panthers did during the 2008 election.

Keeping the Republic

Who we are as a nation is not who we were. We are many peoples, drawn from around the world to the United States since its founding because of a vision that we all have value. In valuing the individual, we understand that their efforts are what count. Allowing people the dignity of work, the ability to create businesses, to engage in commerce and to rise or fall based on their own skills and aptitudes are what made a difference to people whose nose was pressed up against the glass. Free enterprise, a Republic, a non-punitive tax rate and stability allowed all Americans the vision of a future for themselves and their posterity that was hopeful.

Before the US government failed it's own people and the world in general, with the sub-prime loan scandal that led to massive defaults, the Chinese called America "the Golden Mountain". It was a place where hundreds of millions of Chinese would have gladly immigrated because it held a PROMISE they didn't see coming from the "worker's paradise". I'm not sure what the Chinese call the US now. Perhaps "Failed Vision"?

We have failed the world to some extent because we have been failed by ourselves and our ignorance as a people. How else could Barack Hussein Obama have been elected President, and Harry Reid & Nancy Pelosi have risen to leadership of the Congress? Now we fight the ObamaNation, a vision of social malaise, a concept of Marx and Lenin revisited, and of a vicious bent to "change an rearrange" America - to abandon what made us great and to replace it with a carbon copy of other failed socialist states (Because you always eventually run out of other people's money. h/t Thatcher)

We borrow against our grandchildren's future and squander it today. It doesn't take a genius to understand where it's all headed - and it isn't pretty.

When we run the socialists from Congress in 2010 and the present leadership from Washington in 2012, we will face harsh realities handed down from previous debts incurred. We will have to feel pain in the form of reduced government spending in order to bring our nation back to balance. Do we have the courage to do that as a people?

The Obama Administration - This Week (update)

Can we keep our Republic? There are days when I see so much going wrong and so very little going right that I wonder. The answer is that we can keep it, but we need to remain vigilant.

Let's take a look at the situation so far this week:

**When President Bush and General Petraeus proposed a surge in Iraq, Democrats stridently demanded that the general testify before Congress. The Senate blocked that process with Afghanistan.

**Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) have been asked to put the proposed healthcare bills on the Internet so we can all read them and understand what is being jammed down our throats. They have steadfastly refused. Why?

**ACORN is still receiving government contracts/money. The CEO of ACORN is accusing everyone from George Bush to Glenn Beck for her problems but takes no responsibility for the pattern of racketeering and corruption in her "business". She hints at racist motives for uncovering the legion of criminals and crime within her "business".  Those puerile accusations aside, WHY is ACORN still receiving government contracts?

**House Democrats (Rep. Waxman in particular) are attacking the existing health insurance industry in an effort to discredit them so that the utopian socialist healthcare plan their Leader proposes will gain credibility (sounds as if they're following the Alinski Plan to discredit and demoralize - it's the Chicago Way).

**The Obama Administration is ramping up it's campaign for 2010 - who would have guessed it will involve another "stimulus bill" to create jobs. So we borrow money to create federal jobs...what a concept. Joe Stalin would smile and nod his head. This will result in a greater deficit and ultimately MORE TAXES because somebody has to pay for the jobs.  They will also make home loans easier for minorities to obtain (whether or not they qualify). SEIU will likely manage the program since ACORN will likely be indicted by then.

**Chicago didn't get the Olympics. We've beat that horse to death.

**High unemployment and continued rises in mortgage delinquencies and foreclosures will remain an overbearing problem for the foreseeable future.  While there has been some optimism that the pace of job losses has decelerated since June, the loss of 263,000 jobs during September has tempered that hope.  Job losses were 62,000 more than the revised 201,000 decline in August (previously 216,000).

**Vice President Joe (Slow Joe) Biden is visiting Poland and the Czech Republic this week to assure them that we didn't throw them under the bus. He'll be telling them how we are going to protect them from Iran (sorta) but not Russia. He's selling but the Poles and Czechs are simply not stupid people.

And though it didn't happen just last week, we are all looking forward to 2012 when Barack Hussein Obama's days of honoring himself come to a close and we can move on with the business of the Republic in an honorable fashion.

Federal Trade Commission goes after Bloggers

To read the rules for yourself (CLICK HERE). 16CFR255

In summary, the Federal Trade Commission has issued "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising". It goes into effect December 1, 2009.

Anyone receiving anything (bloggers who have paid advertising on your blogs take note) in exchange for reviewing the products offered for sale or promoted on your blogs are subject to an $11,000.00 fine. Many blog advertisers don't know what will pop up in the way of advertisements on their blogs due to the system that is in place. Ignorance of the law is no excuse and ignorance of what your blog ad reads isn't either.

This is the first time since 1980 that the FTC has revised its guidelines on endorsements and testimonials and it is aimed primarily at bloggers. The Federal Government's justification is that it needs to protect consumers from dishonest bloggers. And bloggers from dishonest companies.

Read the regulation carefully. The FTC dismisses the ability of self-regulation to deal with dishonest business practices, "...self regulation works best when it is backed up by a strong law enforcement presence."

I find the coincidence of Dear Leader finding conservative bloggers to be annoying and the present regulation pointed directly at bloggers to be -- interesting.

The pigs flying (see right) are indicative of what I see when people tell me that there is no nexus between Dear Leader's hatred of conservative bloggers and the new rules (first change of the rules in twenty-nine years).

A less cynical person would say that the rules are an indication of Dear Leader's love for his children and his desire that we are protected from ourselves.

Does VP Joe Biden hate Jews?

First off, I'm not Jewish by faith or by blood. So I don't have a family stake in the outcome the way many Israelis do. Neither am I a "defender of the faith".

Vice President Joe (Slow Joe) Biden has been echoing the cries of our Dear Leader to pursue worthless sanctions against Iran, playing for time, hoping that if he "wishes hard enough" that a nuclear-armed Iran won't become a reality.

Biden has a long history of being on the wrong side of military debates and a 100 % record of backing the wrong plan. It's hard to be right every time and the odds are just as long at being wrong every single time.
  • Biden was WRONG in opposing the troop surge that broke the back of the Iraqi resistance .
  • Biden is WRONG in his plan to further the war in Afghanistan with drones instead of troops.
  • Biden was WRONG when he worked on Plan Colombia in 1999-2000 which enabled the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) to flourish.
  • Biden was WRONG in his wishy-washy approach to the Viet Nam War. (You can't fight a war with one foot in and one foot out, Joe.)
And Biden is wrong today when it comes to being SOFT on Iran, which will embolden them. It puts Israel in the impossible position to attack Iran or allow themselves to be attacked with Iranian nuclear weapons as President Ahmajinadad has sworn to do in public time and time again.

Dear Leader is a closet Muslim, so I understand His dislike for Israel. But Biden is (as Dear Leader has said time and again) his principal advisor on foreign policy decisions.  Is pushing Israel toward a preemptive attack the Biden Doctrine? And what motivates it? Does Joe Biden have a deep seated hatred of Jews? Does he want Israel in a knock-down/drag out war with the Muslim nations in the Middle East?

Mr. Vice President, Israel is not the problem. Iran is.

Qualifications for a President

I'm not asking you what the Constitutional minimums are. I'm asking you what you consider (a) essential and (b) desirable experience and personal qualities in a President of the United States.

America's worst is in the White House today:

Barack Hussein Obama
Experience: Community Activist
Real Job Experience: None
Personal Associates: Marxists, radicals, Black Liberation Theologists (in a word, freaks)

I'll make a list - a few suggestions that I consider important (not in any order). Your input is solicited:
  • Clear and unambiguous values and principles - with transparency (no hidden past)
  • Military experience, combat experience useful.
  • World exposure
  • Political experience domestically
Add or subtract from the list as you are moved to do so.

Obama: Obsequious Apologist

I snatched this from Gateway Pundit (H/T Gateway Pundit) because I wanted to comment further. Watch this first.

Now I have a rebuttal.

Dear Leader is a vainglorious egomaniac with a penchant for hatred of that thing -- America -- that made him. I'm looking forward to watch America unmake him.

I'm overly tired of his apologies for America and for Americans. Hey, DEAR LEADER - people overseas are tired of your apologies for America because most of them don't feel as if we owe them one.

Dear Leader, if you think that Chicago lost the Olympic bid because people don't like America, you're wrong. I'm sure that we lost in the opening round because you and your annoying wife were there lobbying. People around the world see you for who you are. The FRENCH president called you a naive fool and cur last week. The FRENCH! And sadly, he's right.

America doesn't need an apologist-in-chief. We need a real president. I had some hope Dear Leader wouldn't turn out to be as bad as I feared he'd be. Sadly, underwhelmed completely, I have to say he turned out to be worse than I expected, and I set a very low bar for his success.

Obama's Olympic Hopes!
