I happen to agree completely with what Mr. Faddis says about the Central Intelligence Agency's current sad state of affairs. The problems were there before Dear Leader took office and he has compounded them and made them much worse.

Bloggers Going to Jail?

"Tyranny: What kind of country would imprison citizens who felt it was in their best interest not to purchase health care insurance? We may soon find out.

Sen. John Ensign, a Nevada Republican, got an interesting handwritten note last week from the chief of staff of Congress' Joint Committee on Taxation. Tom Barthold told Ensign that an American who did not buy health care insurance or pay the fee — up to $1,900 — that is required from those who opt out would find themselves in deep trouble with the government.

"Violators could be charged with a misdemeanor and could face up to a year in jail or a $25,000 penalty, Barthold wrote on JCT letterhead," Politico reported. Ensign was initially asking questions about the penalty that would be assessed anyone who did not buy medical insurance as mandated if the Baucus bill becomes law. He wanted to know if the fine — originally $3,800 for a family but dropped to $1,900 after sharp GOP criticism — was a tax hike. Barthold told Ensign the IRS would indeed "take you to court and undertake normal collection proceedings" if the fee wasn't paid.

Tax hikes for failing to buy insurance? Sent to a federal prison for disobeying the government's orders to have health care? If you conservative bloggers don't want health insurance, you will be taxed for it anyway. If you fail to pay the tax, you'll go to prison.

Too Early to think of Giving?

As of today there are only 89 shopping days left before Christmas and there are blog readers who celebrate the winter holidays according to their own traditions. Every one of the holidays has some form of gift giving and whether you're celebrating Kwanzaa, Christmas, Hannukah or Festivus -- deciding on that perfect gift can be a challenge.

To bury the hatchet with Dear Leader, I wanted to make a suggestion that will go over big with that Democrat, Marxist or Utopian Socialist in your life. The ObamaChia. No, it's not a joke and it was hawked on the Today Show on Dear Leader's own channel, NBC! The video below shows it being flogged to the public on KTLA Ch 5 (also an ObamaStation).

I tried to go on the ACORN website gift store to get some ideas for you but unfortunately it had been taken down. Change came to ACORN.

Never say that CAN WE KEEP OUR REPUBLIC doesn't give equal time to the enemies of the Republic in the spirit of equal access, etc. I'm reaching a hand across the aisle saying, buy an Obama Chia for the sake of the ObamaNation.

The Chia hair dies after about a month. You should dispose of the statue of dear leader with respect. Don't fill your hollow Chia Obama head with fish guts and put it near an ACORN office. Obama Administration Funds Terrorist's Interests

Is there no end to the ObamaNation? Has Dear Leader NO LIMITS?

I truly have no comment. The article from CBS speaks to the issue adequately.

CBS - Today

The Obama Administration plans to give $400,000 in funding to a Libyan charity run by the Gadhafi family, and U.S. Rep. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) wants the grant withdrawn.

The money would be divided between two foundations run by the family of Libyan leader Muammar Gadhafi. A $200,000 share is set to go to the Gadhafi Development Foundation, which is run by Gadhafi’s son, Saif, and another $200,000 are to go to Wa Attassimou, an organization run by Muammar Gadhafi’s daughter, Aisha.

Kirk says the grants should be withdrawn in light of the recent return to Libya of Pan Am Flight 103 bomber Abdel Baset Megrahi. The terminally ill prisoner was released from in Scotland on compassionate grounds, and got a hero’s welcome from Muammar Gadhafi and other Libyans upon his return.

Saif Gadhafi was involved in negotiating for Megrahi’s release, and accompanied him back to Libya.

“Just weeks after the Gadhafi family celebrated the return of a terrorist responsible for the murders of 189 Americans, the U.S. taxpayer should not be asked to reward them with $400,000,” Kirk wrote to the president. “For the sake of the victims’ families who have endured so much pain these last few weeks, I ask you to withdraw your Administration’s request.”

The Gadhafi Development Foundation is described by the BBC as “a charity which tries to project a new and positive image of Libya.”

The U.S. State Department has not issued a response to Kirk’s request.

Obama's Playbook

Dear Leader didn't come up with this on his own. Don't get me wrong, he's a clever guy and he, like many other politicians, knows how to work a crowd. He followed in the footsteps of Saul Alinsky (CLICK HERE FOR WIKIPEDIA BIO), who was the true pioneer in community and labor organizing in Chicago.

Lest you think that Dear Leader was the only one who followed the Alinsky Method (CLICK HERE) for another interesting, if slightly tangental view featuring now SecState Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton. One might say that Obama out-Alinsky'd Clinton in the 2008 presidential election.

Saul Alinsky wrote a classic on grassroots organizing titled Rules for Radicals, in 1971. (CLICK HERE FOR REFERENCE)

"Through a process of combining HOPE and RESENTMENT, the organizer tries to create a 'mass army' that brings in as many recruits as possible from local organizations, churches, service groups, labor unions, corner gangs and individuals."- Alinsky

1. Power is not only what you have, but what an opponent thinks you have. If your organization is small, hide your numbers in the dark and raise a din that will make everyone think you have many more people than you do.
2. Never go outside the experience of your people. The result is confusion, fear and retreat.
3. Whenever possible, go outside the experience of an opponent. Here you want to cause confusion, fear and retreat.
4. Make opponents live up to their own book of rules. You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.
5. Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. It's hard to counterattack ridicule and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.
6. A good tactic is one your people enjoy. If your people aren't having a ball doing it, there is something very wrong with the tactic
7. A tactic that drags on for too long becomes a drag. Commitment may become ritualistic as people turn to other issues
8. Keep the pressure on. Use different tactics and actions and use all events of the period for your purpose. (cause the opposition to react to your advantage)
9. The threat is more terrifying than the thing itself.
10. The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. Avoid being trapped by an opponent or an interviewer who says, "Okay, what would you do?"
11. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it. Don't try to attack abstract corporations or bureaucracies. Identify a responsible individual. Ignore attempts to shift or spread the blame

Alinsky stresses that the main job of an organizer is to bait an opponent into reacting. "The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength." The greatest liberal success in recent times using the Alinsky Method (Obama's Playbook) was the political destruction of Sarah Palin. Browse if you will, though the tactics listed above and determine which of them were used by the liberal press (Democratic operatives) and other liberal pundits against Governor Palin.

Watch and see how Dear Leader wiggles and obfuscates to try and distance himself from the ACORN scandal. Watch how he and his operatives work diligently to damage James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles. They have to "personalize" the attacks on the young investigative reporters and through that process to deflect criticism from ACORN, Dear Leader's cornerstone for the change he wishes to bring to America.

Ronald Reagan's Big Failure

In 1986, I was there with the Gulf of Sidra Yacht Club when we crossed Colonel Muammar el-Quaddafi's line of death. He sent out a couple of SU-24 fighters and one F-14 Tomcat splashed them both.

Now that Dear Leader is in power, a fellow Muslim, a brother, if you will, the Libyan tyrant showed up - and spoke at the UN (CLICK HERE) as reported by the New York Times.

Why do I call this blog posting Ronald Reagan's big failure? Because in 1986 we missed. We put bombs on his tent but he wasn't there.

And though the rhetoric was strident before the US Navy hit his country, he shut up afterward -- until now that Dear Leader is in office.

Take a moment to listen to Mr. Reagan speaking to the American people and contrast it to the Dear Leader (whose line of lies and half truths is sickening).

You won't hear this from Dear Leader, who would surrender the United States to our enemies.

Teach Freedom

A friend asked me tonight what we could to to keep the Republic.

I reflected for a moment and then quoted the father of the Declaration of Independence because I am but a small man, while President Thomas Jefferson was THE MAN.

"The most effectual means of preventing tyranny is to illuminate, as far as practical, the minds of the people at large, and more especially to give them knowledge of those facts which history exhibiteth, that possessed thereby of the experience of other ages and countries, they may be able to know ambition under all of its shapes, and be prompt to exert their natural powers to defeat its purposes."

Then, thinking about the remarks that Dear Leader and his followers seem to hurl with regularity at conservative bloggers and all who don't buy off on their utopian socialist agenda, I reflected on a great Democratic Party Icon, perhaps the greatest American president ever to spring from the Democratic Party, President Theodore Roosevelt.

"There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americans... The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of it continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities." (October 12, 1915)

Today, President Roosevelt would be blasted as a racist for suggesting this.

It doesn't matter what our religion is, it doesn't matter what our skin color is or what language our ancestors spoke - whether we are short or tall, heavy or slender, female or male, Americans are first and foremost Americans.

We need to teach UNITY, not DIVERSITY.

The 9/12 march was important because 1.8 million Americans (we have a head count now - H/T to several bloggers who have posted it) took to the streets of our nation's capitol irrespective of party affiliation to protest a government out-of-control, and a head of state (Dear Leader) who we can not trust. Dear Leader is working to stifle dissent in America, to shut down our access to reliable information, and you have to hand it to him, he's doing a good job at that. We as Americans have been asked by Dear Leader to inform the White House on our friends and neighbors if they said anything fishy. A Democratic President weighted in on this issue"

President Harry S. Truman said, "...They (The Union Army) tried to make my uncle Harrison into an informer, but he wouldn't do it. He was only a boy... They tried to hang him, time and again they tried it, 'stretching his neck', they called it, but he didn't say anything. I think he'd have died before he'd said anything. He's the one I'm named after, and I'm happy to say that there were people...around at the time who said I took after him."

I don't think President Truman would have been all that happy to see Dear Leader in the White House, irrespective of party affiliation.

Ballistic Missile Defense in Eastern Europe

There are those in the Libertarian Camp who feel that the United States should not become embroiled in overseas adventurism. It's where I part company with many Libertarians because the world is a dangerous place. To surrender international options or our place at the table is to deny ourselves a key advantage we maintain worldwide. I'm not going to belabor the point because no, I don't think we should be the world's policeman, but yes, there are times when we need to kick ass to keep our own ass from being kicked.

Moving right along.

The Russians had major concerns about the ballistic missile defense system we were putting into place in Eastern Europe. They knew it meant their options of shooting ballistic missiles in a western direction was severely limited because our systems work and the Russians know they work.

Yesterday, Sunday, September 20, Dear Leader LIED (again). He insisted when pressed, that the US decision to cancel our plans to deploy the Ballistic Missile Defense system (BMD) in Eastern Europe had nothing to do with the Russians - and that it was only a bonus if "Russia's leaders are a little less paranoid." "My task here was not to negotiate with the Russians. The Russians don't make determinations about what our defense posture is." It's a blatant LIE.

While I do consider Dear Leader to be vastly inexperienced, his Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates is not. Gates is a competent SecDef and he was a competent Director of Central Intelligence before that.

Why didn't Dear Leader simply tell it the way it is? We want Russia's vote in the UN on October 1 to put sanctions in place against Iran. To obtain that we sold out our Eastern European allies.

1. UN Sanctions almost never work.
2. Iran doesn't (really) care about the sanctions because they will push ahead with plans to build nuclear weapons, irrespective of sanctions.
3. Iran is willing to accept their continuing position as an international pariah if it puts them in the nuclear power club.

My analysis: To get sanctions, which won't work, we sold our Eastern European Allies out to the Russians.

I know Dear Leader councils that blogs are highly inaccurate and little weight should be attributed to them. However, with the mainstream media under almost total control of the State, who is left to say YOU LIE! when our Dear Leader lies to us?

Rearranging the Cabinet

I'm not king. I have no pretenses nor desire to be king.

HOWEVER if I was king, I would do a few things to change how the Executive Branch of the US Government does business. The first would be to remove those departments that are not authorized by the Constitution and would return their functions to the individual states to manage as they saw fit.

Here is my breakdown:

Department of Agriculture: ELIMINATED - no more farm subsidies guys. Let the market dictate price and operate on a free, fair, system. Let Congress oversee disputes between the states on Agricultural matters in it role of regulating interstate commerce. We don't need a department to do that. Inspection standards would be transferred to the Department of Weights and Measures which would NOT be a Cabinet position, but rather a regulatory body as provided by the Constitution.

Department of Commerce: ELIMINATED - and replaced by an independent commission to advise the Executive and Legislative Branches of government on matters commercial. The commercial attaches now serving US Embassies would be retained and folded into the State Department's general function.

Department of Defense: RETAINED

Department of Education: ELIMINATED - there is no Congressional basis for this institution and the role of education would be remanded to the States, themselves.

Department of Energy: RETAINED - This nation's most pressing need is the development of alternative energy sources and the requirement that we wean ourselves from dependence on foreign oil. Though it's not Constitutionally mandated, there must be a NATIONAL effort in this direction so the cabinet position and department remains. There is also a national mandate to control and regulate nuclear power and protect nuclear materials.

Department of Health and Human Services: REDUCED - to an advisory panel and supporting staff, interfacing with the Centers for Disease Control, but reporting to the President.

Department of Homeland Security: ELIMINATED - As EVERYONE in the system realizes, it's a sad joke. This whole thing needs to be re-evaluated.

Department of Housing and Urban Development: ELIMINATED - and remanded to the States to decide how to handle these issues.

Department of the Interior: RETAINED - but vastly reduced in size to deal with Indian Affairs and other matters such as NAVIGABLE waterways, interfacing with the Army Corps of Engineers. All national parks would be remanded to the States.

Department of Labor: ELIMINATED - and the statistics function remanded to the Congressional Budget Office.

Department of State: RETAINED

Department of Transportation: REDUCED in size and function. The US Coast Guard would remain under Transportation.

Department of the Treasury: RETAINED

Department of Veteran's Affairs: ELIMINATED - and remanded to the Department of Defense

Attorney General: RETAINED

ACORN - Change You can Believe In!

Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN)

Dear Leader is having some difficulty. He is on the record countless times talking about how he has partnered with them to "reshape America". I'm not sure how he planned to reshape America with Acorn but the biggovernment.com videos (see #3 below) would suggest that Dear Leader plans to change the landscape beyond current recognition. Is this the CHANGE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN?

Breaking it down:

1. The US Census Bureau has cut ties with ACORN, saying "We no longer have confidence that our national partnership agreement is being effectively managed through your offices."

2. The US Senate voted 83-7 to block the Department of Housing and Urban Development from funding ACORN. One of the seven people who voted against the block (because some people 'stay bought') is Senator Roland Burris (D-IL):

3. Filmmaker James O'Keefe and Hanna Giles filmed four undercover videos that graphically explained a pervasive pattern of racketeering where ACORN offices nationwide appeared to participate in and aid and abet:

• Loan Fraud
• Child Prostitution
• Human Trafficking (human slavery)
• Extortion and thuggish coersion

4. New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo has opened an investigation into ACORN's criminal activities.

The fact is that ACORN hires people with a certain moral and ethical flexibility that allows them to slip right into these kinds of conversations with the greatest of ease. They had no problem discussing how to avoid legal entanglements for running child prostitution rings, brothels, and other illegal activities out of properties purchased with ACORN's assistance.

5. Brooklyn, NY District Attorney Charles Hynes opened an investigation into the ACORN office in Brooklyn.

6. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger (R-CA) has directed California Attorney General Jerry Brown to initiate an investigation into ACORN's criminal activities.

7. Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty issued a directive that all State funding be cut off from Acorn.

The LIBERAL RESPONSE:

Robert L. Borosage, a co-director of the liberal Campaign for America's Future expressed outrage at the undercover videos exposing ACORN and said of the tactics, "This is dangerous stuff. I don't think progressives will sit back and let this gain momentum." In a way it's a step up because he didn't refer to the government investigations as "racially motivated".

ACORN initially called the investigation a "smear campaign" an hinted at dark motives -- until the videos kept coming, and coming, and it turned out the pattern of corruption was nationwide. Then ACORN CEO Bertha Lewis announced unspecified reforms.

And a week or so after Fox News scooped the nation, the mainstream media (part of the liberal response) tepidly reported the same thing Fox reported. I mean, the scandal was all on tape, what else could they do. Nothing yet from MSNBC, though. I doubt they'd sully themselves with anything that makes Dear Leader look bad.

ACORN Facilitates Human SLAVERY!

Has Dear Leader trained his people at ACORN too well? His training (illustrated above) stressed community organizing based on self-interest. Community organizing was very very good to Dear Leader, you'll note. However ACORN is now neck deep in loan fraud, consipiracy to launder money, conspiracy to evade income taxes, conspiracy to pimp and pander underage children, conspiracy to bring underage children across national boundaries for the purpose of having them engage in prostitution and God knows what the next undercover video will show. This pattern of behavior has a legal definition.

RACKETEERING

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said of the undercover video tapes made at ACORN locations nationwide, "The conduct we see on these tapes is completely unacceptable. I think everyone can agree on that." The mainstream media hasn't apparently seen them, but finally somebody at the White House paid attention? Fascinating.

Does anyone think ACORN will be prosecuted? Doubtful in an administration that dismisses criminal cases against Black Panthers for intimidating voters at voting places. Doubtful in an administration that glories in pardons terrorists and focuses instead on CIA case officers who were acting under the supervision of the Department of Justice.

Dear Leader attached himself to ACORN early in his career. I know he'll try to blame former President George W. Bush for that, but I don't think it will fly even with the most simple liberal mind. He and ACORN are one in a very real sense. He alone can take credit for the $8 billion headed to ACORN under the "stimulus bill". Oh, it will stimulate the economy alright.

What is the difference between ACORN and organized crime? ACORN will smuggle underage girls across the US Border for the purpose of prostitution.

For the record, human trafficking is SLAVERY. Dear friends, Dear Leader is the prime sponsor of ACORN and ACORN is willing to facilitate HUMAN SLAVERY.

• Do Dear Leader and his friends have ANY LIMITS?
• Should Congress continue to fund ACORN to the tune of $8.5 billion?
• Where is the mainstream media?
• Where is Dear Leader in all this? Oh, never mind, he's the guy in charge.

And finally, look at Congressman Steve Cohen's resolution to apologize for slavery, HR 194 in June 2009.

When will Dear Leader apologize for ACORN furthering and conspiring to facilitate the ENSLAVEMENT OF CHILDREN for the purpose of PROSTITUTION and to conspire to transport them across the US Border for that purpose?

I'm waiting, Dear Leader,

but I'm not holding my breath.

I was listening to Dear Leader's speech to the AFL-CIO on Fox and wanted to comment briefly on it. Those of you who read this blog will know that I am not a fan of Dear Leader's.

He spoke to the assembled masses of labor union members about all the money "we", meaning "he" was giving them to improve their lives. And they cheered.

He spoke of his love for the middle class and spoke derisively of those Americans who were wealthy and of his plan not for equal opportunity, but for equal outcome - which means socialism and forced redistribution of wealth. And they cheered.

Did they know what they were cheering about? I doubt it. Dear Leader is a charismatic speaker and as we all know, he's an accomplished liar.

Back to the money - where does the money come from that Dear Leader pours out in the form of bail-outs, in the form of "free" health insurance for all? Funny how he never mentions that. I've been waiting for Dear Leader's plan to pay back over a trillion of dollars he's racked up in debt in 8 months.

Dear friends: The government doesn't earn a single nickel unless they take it from YOU. The only way they can give you money is to borrow it against the future or to tax you. THAT'S IT.

When Dear Leader speaks of everything he will do for you,

ask yourself where the money is coming from.

It's strange how songs come around again, isn't it?

Who are those protesters?

Somewhere between one and two MILLION men and women came to the nation's capitol to protest the ObamaNation in all its permutations.

For every person who came, 100 people more remained at home, cheering them on.

• They have no leader.
• They have no party.
• There is no organization behind them.
• They pay their own way, they make their own signs.
• They are not bussed in by way of machine politics.
• They are not violent and don't trash the place.
• Some are Democrats and some are Republicans. ALL demand change.
• They have jobs and families.
• They are all "domestic terrorists" as defined by the Obama Administration.
• They are armed to the teeth.
• They ALL vote.

Dear Leader and Congress:

You would do well not to tread on them. It has been tried before. It never worked. They are AMERICANS.

ACORN - Clarified

Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) is a linchpin in Dear Leader's strategy. For some time, I wondered how they were making money, above and beyond the billions given to them under the "stimulus package" for community organizing. As it turns out they specialize in getting loans for unqualified people. I'm frankly shocked that any of Dear Leader's minions would do this, however, ACORN was caught with its pants down when its operatives assisted a man and a woman obtain a loan illegally when they sought to open a brothel. (CLICK HERE) Those who helped get the pimp and prostitute obtain loans illegally were fired, but it's indicative of the rampant corruption in their ranks.

The firings came less than 24 hours after another pair of ACORN officials from the group's Baltimore office were canned for instructing the "pimp" and "prostitute" how to falsify tax forms and seek illegal benefits for 13 "very young" girls from El Salvador that pair said they wanted to import to work as child prostitutes.

Both of the encounters were videotaped on a hidden camera wielded by 25-year-old independent filmmaker James O'Keefe, posing as the pimp — tapes that have ignited calls for investigations of ACORN...(Fox News)
