At the close of the Constitutional Convention in 1787, Dr. James McHenry, a Maryland delegate, followed Benjamin Franklin from Independence Hall. He recorded a question asked by a lady, directed at Dr. Franklin.

The lady asked, "Well Doctor, what have we got? A republic or a monarchy?"

"A republic," replied Dr. Franklin, "if you can keep it."

American Capitalism….(cough, Big Brother)

What people have thought would be capitalistic economies of scale in this country have today revealed their true identity – Government Sponsored Capitalism.

Auto Industry = Government Operational

Health Care = Government Operated (Coming soon, well funded Obama marketing campaigns are working on it)

Insurance Industry - Government Operational (AIG sums it up)

Banking Sector = Government Operational (TARP - AKA: The Assaulting Raid of

Progressivism),

* NEW* Private Compensation = Government Dictated (Auto Makers to Wall Street)

The long time supported principle of "Buy Low, Sell High" has been changed today to "Buy Low, Sell Just High Enough to avoid the Government radar" This transformation of BLSH to BLSJHE starts at Wall Street, due to their earnings being too high to pass a fail test. Forget ExxonMobil, Chevron, and BP, their record breaking earnings. They don't count because we need energy (even if gas is subsidized by the Government). We really don't need Wall Street firms making this kind of money! Not when the hard working American citizens need Obama’s help with their mortgage payments, food, utilities, and brand new car purchases in this recession/depression that is “too good of an opportunity to pass up” –Rahm Emanuel. That is just too much capitalism for the Government to fully execute their strategies in this ‘opportunity.

"This is not the government taking over the corporate sector" - Rep Melvin Watt, D-N-C , "It is a statement by the American people that it is time for us to straighten up the ship." http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090731/ap_on_go_co/us_bailout_bonuses

I wonder if Mel majored in Psychology or Semantics? This is a perfect agenda cover in concealing the true agenda’s of this administration to minimize capitalism and enforce a larger government upon the free world, as they would say “For your own good". I can assure you Mel that majority of the 'real' people in this country would prefer less government intervention, takeover, control, dictation, and government sponsored social progressivism. Not the fictionalized constituents you represent. This is a very steep slope to go for a joy ride down. Where do you stop?

I ask Mel this question - Where does this road lead the American people?

Illegal Immigration is "Illegal"

The Mexican Border is a sieve no matter what we've tried to do to fix the situation. Tons of cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamine and millions of illegal aliens cross into the United States every year.

Yet to spite the cost both to the health of the nation and to the national infrastructure, the Democratic Party wants to welcome more and more ILLEGAL immigrants to the United States.

Keep in mind that legal immigration is an avenue used by many people from many nations to settle in the US and contribute. ILLEGAL immigration is a crime. And still the liberals scream and pant to provide medical care, welfare benefits and to extend the US national umbrella over these people who perpetrate crimes merely by being here. What is more surprising is that the liberal get away with doing it.

In many large metropolitan areas of the US, if you don't speak Spanish, you can't get a sales job. I don't blame business owners. All the customers can only speak Spanish. Is there something wrong with this picture or is it just me? Adios!

Marxism in America

Telegraphed Punches (by Glenn Beck)

Yes, it's true. President Obama told us what he planned to do very succinctly. And while some people saw him and his agenda for what it was, many didn't - I mean, they voted for him didn't they? He's not a closet Marxist. He's a blatant Marxist.

PRESIDENT OBAMA: But the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth and sort of more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society. And to that extent as radical as I think people tried to characterize the Warren court, it wasn't that radical. It didn't break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers and the Constitution, at least as it's been interpreted. And Warren court interpreted it in the same way that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties, says what the states can't do to you, says what the federal government can't do to you. But it doesn't say what the federal government or the state government must do on your behalf. And that hasn't shifted, and one of the, I think the tragedies of the civil rights movement was because the civil rights movement became so court focused, I think that there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributive change, and in some ways we still suffer from that.

The US Supreme Court - Watchdog of the Republic

The Senate Judiciary Committee has voted to move the confirmation of Sonia Sotomayor to the full Senate. The Senate will vote along partisan lines to push this most unqualified woman into the Supreme Court.

Once on the bench we'll have an opportunity to see her racial bias, her lack of Constitutional understanding and her general crude behavior manifest as she rules on critical cases.

There have been other unqualified supreme court justices in the past and there will be more in the future. This didn't have to be, but we are having these fools rammed down our throats because WE THE PEOPLE chose badly in the last election.

American Racism

When the President of the United States is a blatant racist, I feel as if I've been transported back to the Buchanan Administration before the War Between the States. Buchanan was a blatant racist in much the same way as Obama is now. Then again, Black Muslims in America have not been very tolerant historically.

For your own good

I wouldn't have posted this picture (snagged from another blog) in January. I viewed the election of Barack Hussein Obama and Joe (Slow Joe) Biden as being something I disagreed with. However as time has gone on, the only principles they seem to espouse are those based on collectivism, socialism, Marxism (all in opposition to a republic). They are literally panting to tear down the institutions that made the country great "for our own good".

The concept the liberal government has is that people are too stupid to regulate their own lives and luckily for us, the liberals will run them for us. ....thanks but no thanks.

Slowly, every so slowly, the American people are waking up to the fix they got themselves into when they voted the Barack Obama show into office. We're not sure that the new president is a natural born citizen of the US (no proof has been offered and law suits are underway). The $800 billion stimulus package that we needed immediately turned out to be $800 billion in political pay-offs that weren't designed to stimulate anything. Now we find out it will take another $1 trillion - this time they're promising stimulus. But who knows?

What Happened to the Republican Party?

I'm not a member of the Republican Party.

I'm looking for a party that represents a conservative, Constitutional government. I am looking for something that the Republicans lost.

I don't think the Republican Party as presently constituted is able to "keep the republic". They want to be more liberal, they want to pander to voters rather than establishing a clear standard of values and conduct. They threw Sarah Palin under the bus in favor of their more liberal favorite sons.

The bastions of conservative, constitutional values have let us down.

Barack Morpheus Obama: Red pill or Blue pill?

"If there's a blue pill and a red pill, and the blue pill is half the price of the red pill and works just as well, why not pay half price for the thing that's going to make you well?" -- President Obama, July 23, 2009

Obama has a way with words. As we frequently witnessed during his campaign, his predictions and promises to America have meant absolutely nothing. While he is advertising the personally crafted (but not read) Obama Care bill, an attempt to socialize the greatest healthcare system in the world, his tactics have not been anything new or shocking. "We are in a RUSH to get this approved", "This is not about me", "I will LET you keep your current private practice Dr.". Hmm, what's the rush Obama? Is the economy going to collapse tomorrow, as urged during the last American Recovery and Reinvestment Act consisting of 1,300 pages, $775 billion dollars, hundreds of small bills the House/Senate were not able to get approved individually, and less than 12 hours for the House/Senate to read it before voting on it?

This only adds credence to the paralleled reality we are living today, which Obama is again counting on while attempting to take control of another private sector. As we have seen recently, hope is rising as public scrutiny continues to develop in opposition of this massive freedom/power theft plot. I'm sure that he could consult his private, unnamed, panel of experts to oversee the US socialized Obama Care, made up of empowered, independent, and experts at developing health care protocols should his massive plan not get approved before August. Our last real hope to win this attack on America's Freedom is to wake up our neighbors, ignite their voices, and fight for our individual liberty and privacy.

No Government Healthcare Plan is Needed!

While a senator, President Barack Hussein Obama voted AGAINST every health care measure brought before the Senate to try and bring a compromise to the "health care crisis"?

I wonder why he did that?

Yes, I do know the answer. By inviting the government into the health care of every single American, the government obtains control over your treatment, your records, your very life. It's tough to take your freedom while you have control over your life.

Some citizens of this country are without regular health care. They can avail themselves of public healthcare under the present system without cost and there IS a safety net in place. Is it perfect? No. Then again Senator Obama voted against measures to fix it.

Why are we RUSHING headlong into a system that everybody knows will bankrupt the nation (further)? Why is the legislature being advised, "Don't read it, sign it!"?

The Federal Government has no business taking over private healthcare. They have no business dabbling in everything the states wish to do in accordance with the Constitution. However it's all about control and most of us don't wish to invite the government into our affairs any more than they have already interposed themselves.

Can the Republic "long endure"?

The tall man in the stovepipe hat stood to dedicate a cemetery at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania where many Americans gave their lives, their last full measure of devotion to their respective causes. He spoke in his high-pitched Kentucky accent and summarized the war in ten sentences. Then he sat down. What President Lincoln asked was, whether or not a nation conceived in Liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal can long endure.

Shall our nation, under God, conceived in liberty, remain or will we loose the whole thing to apathy and complacency? There are a number of people who are presently pushing to reform and reshape America and to replace our republic with a socialist system, conceived in Old Europe. The new system would make all Americans wards of the state in a very real sense and would deny them freedom of choice in how they conduct their business and how they lead their lives. That vision is contrary to the vision of the founding fathers and contrary to how we have lived our lives in the past.

The promise they offer is that the poor and illegally present can eat the bread of those who earned it and can gorge themselves on the carcass of this great nation "free" - for one small vote.

Will we give it all up? Just like that?
