Can we keep our Republic? There are days when I see so much going wrong and so very little going right that I wonder. The answer is that we can keep it, but we need to remain vigilant.Let's take a look at the situation so far this week:
**When President Bush and General Petraeus proposed a surge in Iraq, Democrats stridently demanded that the general testify before Congress. The Senate blocked that process with Afghanistan.**Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) have been asked to put the proposed healthcare bills on the Internet so we can all read them and understand what is being jammed down our throats. They have steadfastly refused. Why?**ACORN is still receiving government contracts/money. The CEO of ACORN is accusing everyone from George Bush to Glenn Beck for her problems but takes no responsibility for the pattern of racketeering and corruption in her "business". She hints at racist motives for uncovering the legion of criminals and crime within her "business". Those puerile accusations aside, WHY is ACORN still receiving government contracts?**House Democrats (Rep. Waxman in particular) are attacking the existing health insurance industry in an effort to discredit them so that the utopian socialist healthcare plan their Leader proposes will gain credibility (sounds as if they're following the Alinski Plan to discredit and demoralize - it's the Chicago Way).**The Obama Administration is ramping up it's campaign for 2010 - who would have guessed it will involve another "stimulus bill" to create jobs. So we borrow money to create federal jobs...what a concept. Joe Stalin would smile and nod his head. This will result in a greater deficit and ultimately MORE TAXES because somebody has to pay for the jobs. They will also make home loans easier for minorities to obtain (whether or not they qualify). SEIU will likely manage the program since ACORN will likely be indicted by then.**Chicago didn't get the Olympics. We've beat that horse to death.**High unemployment and continued rises in mortgage delinquencies and foreclosures will remain an overbearing problem for the foreseeable future. While there has been some optimism that the pace of job losses has decelerated since June, the loss of 263,000 jobs during September has tempered that hope. Job losses were 62,000 more than the revised 201,000 decline in August (previously 216,000).**Vice President Joe (Slow Joe) Biden is visiting Poland and the Czech Republic this week to assure them that we didn't throw them under the bus. He'll be telling them how we are going to protect them from Iran (sorta) but not Russia. He's selling but the Poles and Czechs are simply not stupid people.
And though it didn't happen just last week, we are all looking forward to 2012 when Barack Hussein Obama's days of honoring himself come to a close and we can move on with the business of the Republic in an honorable fashion.

Amazing... you've done a synopsis of less than a week, stated "so far this week," and discussed what is honestly only a partial list of the events that have transpired thus far, this week.
This administration seems to absolutely have the goal and mindset of overwhelming the system and the American people in an effort to constantly create distractions from their primary agenda.
Nice summary.
I love it when they say the pace of job losses has slowed. "Hey! We not sliding into the toilet quite as fast as we were before!"
Dependency, drug use, unwed pregnancies, crime, unemployment and school dropouts have all increased since we started the trillion dollar war on poverty.
Community organizing is not about helping poor people--it's about harvesting their votes for corrupt liberal democrats.
I think we should just cut taxes, cut regulations, and abide by the good book and all will be fine.
Why do the cons moderate speech so much? I am a premium grade troll, but when I see moderation I am hesitant to post on moderated sites. Because, often as soon as I post a decent riposte, it somehow disappears into the ether. Why do cons hate freedom so much?
I only moderate abusive trolls. People who post a decent riposte always get published.

Yah, that's what you say until you see some of my withering rebuttals. :-)
"When he points the ray gun at me and vaporizes me."
Ironic eh?
RayGun -- Intelligent rebuttals are a good thing. We may learn a thing or two. Just keep it civil.
It's getting late. At first read, I thought you told him "Just keep it evil."
Great breakdown. Great and Terrible (just like Oz).
Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain, Candle.
