In the world of Congressional back slapping and back scratching, you don't hear many Republicans openly criticize Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. The vindictive, dour, puerile Senator from Nevada is anything but a gentleman and is known in his home town as a "crook". In Las Vegas, you can be a crook and still be loved. You can be a crook and still be elected.
However, you need to remember the best interests of your constituents. I think somewhere along the line, Sen. Reid forgot that last part.
Do I personally count Harry out? No - he's a slick politician and since his days as Senate Majority leader he has become a very wealthy politician.

Harry is currently trailing both of his opposition candidates for his re-election bid in 2010. However, the now infamous Service Employees International Union (SEIU) has a very strong presence in the Nevada gaming and hospitality business. Harry may be able to call on the "Union Thugs" to bully voters at polling places. One Las Vegas politician I spoke to on the telephone yesterday called SEIU - "Harry's Black Panthers", indicating they will have the same teflon-style immunity from prosecution for harassing voters in 2010 that President Barack Hussein Obama's Black Panthers did during the 2008 election.

Hey LL. It's hard to believe Steve Wynn and Reid come from the same town or state. May be Nicky Santoro can give Harry the vise treatment. It worked on Tony Dogs.
Right Guy - it's hard to think that Barbara (the self-righteous bitch) Boxer and I come from the same town too. We need to give her the infamous "door-in-the-desert" treatment or have the guys treat her like Tony (the ant) Spilatro, except there just aren't that many corn fields in California.
There are plenty of corn fields here in Iowa.
I don't know anything about corn fields and desert doors, but these corrupt politicians need to be shown the door, for SURE.
You've really got to work hard to be thought of as corrupt in Vegas!
I share your cautious optimism as well as your fear that corrupt unions and his dirty millions will save his sorry @$$.
Wow, this was news to me - thank you. I hope to God he goes down. Him and the rest of the cancer cells.
Reid is beatable and is probably the biggest prize that can be snagged in 2010. Hugh Hewitt suggested a "Ten for Tark" campaign (old link) where you contributed $10 for Danny Tarkanian (son of former (CSULB, UNLV, and CS Fresno roundball coach, Jerry Tarkanian).
I initially contributed and do so periodically. I recommend you all do the same.
There are some supposed negatives attached to Danny, but it seems to me to be the usual mewling, whining, short-sighted comments made by people who don't have their eyes on the real prize: putting this sclerotic, drooling, incompetent out to pasture and hamstringing The Pantload-in-Chief for the second half of his (hopefully) only term.
So give 'til it hurts (Reid, that is!)
He is my State Senator and his son recently announced that he will run for Governor. So what does this mean? The entire gene pool is tainted. I have my hands full.
The son is as corrupt as the father. The tree only bore wormy apples.
Mark my words.
