At the close of the Constitutional Convention in 1787, Dr. James McHenry, a Maryland delegate, followed Benjamin Franklin from Independence Hall. He recorded a question asked by a lady, directed at Dr. Franklin.

The lady asked, "Well Doctor, what have we got? A republic or a monarchy?"

"A republic," replied Dr. Franklin, "if you can keep it."

Senatorial Bully

In the proud tradition of Tammany Hall, I present: Boss HARRY REID

(CLICK THE PHOTO FOR A LINK)

The Obama Administration, well known for their intimidation of all who oppose them may have taken their tactics too far. Harry, who the hell do you think you are? Do you think your Senate seat is THAT secure? Have you satiated yourself with money from the public trough to the extent that you're ready to come back to Nevada permanently?

Nancy Pelosi is a pompous politician who has Peter-principled herself well beyond her level of incompetence and should be replaced by one capable of leading the House of Representatives.

However when it comes to being a bully and a cad, it's difficult to top Senator Harry Reid, our US Senate Majority Leader (CLICK HERE) h/t infidel blogger network. When the voters send you to Washington DC, they should expect you to tell the hometown newspaper that you (fervently) hope they go out of business for printing the truth, right? Isn't that what the voters were thinking when they agreed to pay your princely salary, pay for your executive jet and sent you up to represent them?

The Las Vegas Review Journal is the most respected newspaper in Nevada. This is how they responded (in part) to the Senior Senator from the Great State of Nevada:

We've seen cattle ranches give way to railroads. We chronicled the construction of Hoover Dam. We reported on the first day of legalized gambling. The first hospital. The first school. The first church. We survived the mob, Howard Hughes, the Great Depression, several recessions, two world wars, dozens of news competitors and any number of two-bit politicians who couldn't stand scrutiny, much less criticism.

We're still here doing what we do for the people of Las Vegas and Nevada. So, let me assure you, if we weathered all of that, we can damn sure outlast the bully threats of Sen. Harry Reid.

Rush Limbaugh spanks Harry Reid like a little girl.

I love Rush. My husband & I went to see Rush in person at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia a few years ago. It was the night he announced that he was putting the letter Harry Reid wrote against him up on Ebay for auction. It was fabulous. He got a standing ovation. We owe Rush a debt of gratitude because he is the person who made conservative talk radio what it is today. Thanks for posting this video.

I didn't like Reid before, and now I like him less. Why don't they recall him? The libs are out to ruin Las Vegas. Why would the casinos allow that?

Nice post. I heard about this and was in shock.. Dingy Harry's got some cahones, if nothing else. Soon to be nothing else, I hope...

Opus - the casinos are all union, run by SEIU employees... therefore the more casinos, the more liberals. Nevada needs corporate interests outside of hospitality to grow, because much like AZ, the liberals are beginning to outnumber the natives and the true capitalists (like myself) who moved west for what the west had to offer.

Harry is an extremely corrupt politician based on my sources in Nevada (Opus is aware who some of those are). However, there is a level at which it will not be tolerated locally and I think Harry might have crossed that bridge and set it on fire behind him.
