I'm not a member of the Republican Party. I'm looking for a party that represents a conservative, Constitutional government. I am looking for something that the Republicans lost.
I don't think the Republican Party as presently constituted is able to "keep the republic". They want to be more liberal, they want to pander to voters rather than establishing a clear standard of values and conduct. They threw Sarah Palin under the bus in favor of their more liberal favorite sons.
The bastions of conservative, constitutional values have let us down.

I still hope that the right candidate can rally conservatives back into the Republican party. If the socialists/communists can take over the Democrat party, then so can we take back the Republican Party. There was a poll recently. In head to head match-ups, if a presidential election were held this week, Romney would beat Obama. If Palin runs as a 3rd party candidate, Obama wins over Romney and Palin. We can't afford to split our votes.

We feel that those who serve this country do not get the voice they deserve. We cant make the government change that, but we can change it here and maybe this will spread. I love studying history, especially Biblical history, or basically Middle eastern history from 3000B.C. to 1300A.D. Some of my views on things aren't always what you would call "mainstream" but at the same time I do not force my views on others and agree to disagree on such things. I also study climatology and especially Hurricanes. I can tell you are a car guy. I am too, and although we are into different types of cars, I can relate. MY cousin in TX has a classic toyota FJ that he uses for rock climbing. I am into sports cars and am currently tinkering with a 91 Honda Prelude (J.Spec) it has the 190 hp motor instead of the 135-145 that our domestic versions got. It also has no power door locks or such things except the sunroof to make the car as light as possible and came stock like that. Before that I was into drag racing (legal). I watch everthing on Speed channel from the Baha offroad both truck and Motorcycle races to Lemans to Rallying to Nascar. I am not into Indy anymore as I think the cars are too over-engineered and that takes away from the skill of the driver. I look forward to reading your post and hope you enjoy our blog. We do not frown on opinion s that differ from ours. We want debate (without name calling) and try to be fair about looking at all sides of an issue. While I dont want the Republican party to die, I believe that in the 2010 elections we need about 20 congressmen and 8-10 Senators to be froma third conservative party, to bring the Republicans back to the reservation. Remember, we didn't leave them, they left us. They think that we will vote for them because we have no other choice than the Dems and that has to change or the Republicans won't
When asked what party I belong to, I answer CONSTITUTIONALIST!
